We analyse societal dynamics, global trends, and shifting public expectations with a multidisciplinary team of international analysts, excellent tooling, sophisticated AI, and a systems approach.

We share our knowledge openly. We shape ftrprf’s understanding of developments in the outside world, enabling us to translate this knowledge into impactful strategies. We communicate our findings through articles, journals and books, always offering hopeful and different perspectives. The Futureproofing Institute

Current financial valuation methods are incomplete, overlooking crucial social and environmental impact factors. Future societal and ecological challenges demand a new approach to corporate value that integrates these factors for long-term resilience and responsible investment, while putting them in monetary terms to make them comparable.

At the Futureproofing Institute, our goal is to shift global attention from purely financial value to integrated value by producing objective, high-quality analyses of companies' financial, social, and ecological value. By regularly publishing these insights and collaborating with ftrprf, we aim to make Integrated Value (IV) and Futureproofing Ratios the global standard for policy, investment, and strategic decision-making.

What began as a collaboration between Professors Dirk Schoenmaker and Willem Schramade over tens years ago has since evolved into a new way of looking at value. From publishing the book Corporate Finance for Long-Term Value to the inaugural AEX Futureproof Index last year, we strive to offer accessible and meaningful insights in sustainable finance.

Applying this new paradigm of integrated value is the real innovation of sustainable finance. Success in today’s world is no longer just about financial returns – it’s about creating value that lasts.

DAX-AEX Futureproof Index Report

This year, we applied our critical question—To what extent do large companies create and destroy value for society?—not only to AEX companies but also to German ones as well. Announcing the inaugural DAX-AEX Futureproof Index, which ranks 52 companies across the two countries. This Index allowed our team to widen the scope of its work and evaluate and improve the methodology further, a key step in working towards a European-wide benchmark.
