NIOZ, the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, and Naturalis Biodiversity Center are leading research institutions working to understand and protect the natural world to ensure a livable future. Together, they share an ambition to realize structural, continuous, and comprehensive monitoring of the North Sea. By detecting change over time, monitoring can act as an early warning system and provide the knowledge needed to make better-informed decisions across policy, ecology, economy, industry, technology, and society.
ftrprf had the honor of working with NIOZ and Naturalis on the question: How can we realize our ambition to structurally, continuously, and comprehensively monitor the North Sea?
