Are the robots coming?

Picture this: it is 7:24 AM and the vibrations emitted by your bed gently wake you up. You don’t feel particularly tired because your mattress tracked your sleep patterns and woke you up at the optimal moment. You then stroll toward your kitchen, where your warm coffee awaits you. Somehow, the machine prepared it in just the way you wanted it today: with milk, sugar, and a little bit of cinnamon. Two minutes later, you’re slightly caffeinated, ready to face the world, and your TV switches on automatically with the morning news report. Another drone killing. Your smart watch reminds you to take a moment to breathe (as a result of a sudden spike in blood pressure), and you think to yourself: ‘These machines, they just get me’.
