Are you futureproof?
perspective, impact and influence
Annelies is an analyst who makes surprising connections and sees a world full of possibilities. As a little girl, she preferred to read about adventures of children at the other side of the world. Now all grown up, she regularly packs her backpack to stay with, work with and learn from people who live in a different environment, far away or close to home. That fits in perfectly with her master's in Cultural Anthropology & Sustainable Citizenship. Sustainability, inclusivity and complex social issues are all her thing. By following the master she learned to analyze these subjects critically, to understand them and to look at them from a broad social and cultural perspective.
Cato is one of our analysts. She has a background in psychology and sees making the world "futureproof" as a collaborative process. A world more beautiful than today, according to Cato, is a world in which we talk with each other and not about each other. A world in which we listen and not only hear. A world in which we get the best out of it and not just do it well.
Listening, conversing and being fully committed are therefore things that Cato likes to do. So have you read an interesting article about new insights in social or cultural psychology? Would you like to discuss today's news? Or just chit chat? Then visit Cato for a cup of tea and chocolate.
Thom Lamers is an analytically critical future thinker. Inspired by people's behavior in our society. He combines his research skills with various interesting topics such as artificial intelligence, innovation and sustainability. He supports people who believe that things can and should be done differently. A shared responsibility, in which we complement each other instead of competing with each other. To make tomorrow a little better than today, together. Within futureproof, Thom is part of an enthusiastic team of analysts who research all kinds of current topics.
Thom is currently studying psychology at Radboud University in Nijmegen. He will soon complete this study and will then choose a master to specialize further.
As virtual assistant, Marian van Offeren ensures that everyone can do his or her work. Driven by the belief that if you do what you do best and what makes you happy, you get the best out of yourself. Marian gets the best out of herself by unburdening others and picking up on things that others cannot get around to. So that futureproof continues to run like a well-oiled machine. The greater the challenge, the more fun she has.
Marian has many years of experience as a personal assistant, project manager, HR manager, trainer and coach. Her analytical skills allow her to quickly see what is needed. She thinks practically and creatively and works in a structured manner. Because of her creativity she often comes up with ideas and solutions that not everyone thinks of. This way she can unburden others to the maximum.
Ineke is the born introvert who has crawled out of her shell. As a child she read the school library in a split second, after which the village library had to pay for it. Then writing started. At the age of 7 she typed her first manuscript, her father threw it on the mimeograph machine and sold the hand-sewn copies to relatives and neighbors. At the age of 10 she bought an instamatic camera from her pocket money. A new love was born. And a start was made with collecting hobbies on a creative level. Little has changed in the decades since. Writing and reading, creating images and enjoying images, designing and looking at art, it has only grown.
After studying General Arts, a mix of workplaces followed, including various university libraries, teacher education, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, a rehabilitation hospital, and a drop-in center for people with early dementia. Recurring tasks: writing, think tanks, editing, design, photography, communication.
Futureproof has several meanings for Ineke. One of them is no longer being overtaken by a future that is determined by someone else. And a future in which there is room for growth, even if there is a scratch somewhere.
Zoë Tuithof is one of our analysts. She follows the master Cultural Anthropology: Sustainable Citizenship in which she focuses in particular on dynamic social issues that include gender and race. Her interest is unleashed by the actions of people in the broadest understanding. In her search for possible visions of the future, the focus is on the role that people and culture play in various social developments.
Zoë has a background in future analysis; a college trend research and concept development. Her strength lies in uncovering hidden connections between stories, developments and ideas.
Zoë is a down to earth dreamer who carries out her analyzes creatively and with a critical eye. Her most valuable (study) projects are without a doubt her research into breast cancer in relation to the feeling of the female patient and a literature study concerning black feminism in a #MeToo world.
“Teamwork makes the dream work.” Dat merk je snel als je met hem werkt. Samen is belangrijker dan alleen. Grote dromen zijn belangrijker dan KPI’s. Leon is bij futureproof aan boord om samen met klanten grenzen te verleggen.
Leon has a background in the financial sector and in journalism. During his first job at Vice Media, Leon learned the tricks of the creative profession. In the four years that followed, he worked at Rabobank to finance sustainable energy projects around the world.
During the week you will find Leon in the office at futureproof and on weekends he likes to go to the water with his sailing team or put on his shoes to train for his other passion: marathons
Héctor's code words are analytical, curious and creative, but also: sensitive and drama, these qualities reinforce the goals he sets for himself. Héctor is always looking for challenges and likes to learn from new experiences. Through creativity, analysis and by using both hands and both feet on the yoga mat (sometimes only with one foot or only with one hand), he always tries to find solutions. He adapts well under new circumstances and accepts situations he cannot change and then tries to make the best of it, without forgetting the norms and values of his upbringing and respect for others.
Héctor is diligent and persistent, he is a researcher. Besides being analyst at futureproof, he conducts research into how people communicate and the language behavior of children in minority communities. His professional and important goal is to make a positive contribution to linguistics to solve and / or prevent problems with language and national identity.
His goal is to help people and unfortunately our world is not perfect, but Héctor believes that by exchanging knowledge, he can make our world more beautiful, Héctor thinks futureproof.
Raymon is one of our analysts. From his very young years he was interested in technology and understanding the world. After completing his education in Embedded Systems Engineering at HAN, he therefore continued to broaden and deepen. The Master's in Biosystems Engineering at Wageningen University fits in well with this. Big Data, Internet of Things, Machine Learning and Deep Learning are subjects in which he technically immerses himself.
With this technical knowledge, Raymon reinforces an enthusiastic team of analysts who try to make the world a better place.
Arianne is one of the analysts and has gained experience as a student at a (student) consultancy company. She gets a lot of energy out of working purposefully with a team. With an analytically highly developed and keen eye she likes to dive into new topics in search of solutions that keep making the world a little better.
Arianne recently completed her MSc Biomedical Engineering at TU Delft. In addition to her work for futureproof, she is fully committed to the (semi) professional sailing that she currently does all over the world. Arianne does not give up easily and is used to working in high performance teams. A portion of fun and small talk in the highest gear is one of the basic necessities for Arianne.
Pieter has a background in marketing, publishing and corporate strategies. He is board member of the Global Compact Network Netherlands and one of the initiators of the recently in New York launched World Benchmarking Alliance, a global movement around increasing the private sector’s impact towards a sustainable future for all. Pieter supported the United Nations with the development of the ‘high time’ campaign, to fight violence against children. Recently, for the Council of Europe, he assisted in developing the ‘Start to Talk’ campaign.
He undoubtedly has the most beautiful granddaughter in Europe, Fay.
Saskia’s motivation lies in contributing to the big picture within an organization; a contribution she makes at the background but which is essential and is only missed if it is not there. Saskia takes care of it.
Because of her years of experience as an executive secretary at several large companies, she knows what is expected and may be expected of her. She delivers the decisive result.
Now she is following the master Environmental Sciences with a specialization in aquatic ecology and water quality management. She regularly parades in her wading suit through the most beautiful floodplains in the Netherlands to protect fish. At futureproof she works as an analyst in making companies futureproof. Because only if everyone contributes, our grandchildren can also play outside carefree.
